Summary of the role

WAMITAB is a specialist industry awarding organisation and charity that develops qualifications for those working in waste and resource management and recycling; facilities management; cleaning; street cleansing and parking from operative through to management level with a strong focus on supporting environmental sustainability. 

WAMITAB was established in 1989 and currently offers over 120 qualification pathways, which are delivered through 70 quality-assured centres. We work directly with industry leaders to shape and deliver employer-led qualifications that provide individuals with fit-for-purpose skills for the workplace.  By qualifying the workforce, we aim to embed a culture of safety and progression, making the industry more attractive as a career.

The world of Education and skills development is continually changing and you will become part of a dynamic team that strives to deliver innovative solutions and maximise its resources in its specialist area.  Your role is vital to ensure that those studying for a WAMITAB qualification are guaranteed that this is of the highest quality and as learners they have the support of the awarding body.

We are looking for an individual able to share and promote WAMITAB’s quality and validity values, with a keen eye for detail to join the Qualifications Team. The right person will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage effectively at all levels. They will be a good team worker and have excellent IT skills (in particular MS Office); they will also have an organised approach and the ability to work well under pressure.

Knowledge of the education sector, regulatory requirements for vocational qualifications and General Conditions of Recognition are desirable. For the right individual with the right skills and knowledge set, we are able to be flexible in working hours and days per week.

Please note that training will be provided for niche knowledge areas; however, own car, driving licence and ability to travel nationally are essential.
