OCS Group UK Ltd
Here at OCS we are very proud of our long history – the company is now in its fifth generation of family ownership.
The business was started in 1900 by Frederick William Goodliffe operating as a sole trader under the name of The New Century Window and General Cleaning Company.
Initially, the company comprised one part-time man equipped with a ladder, a pail and a pushcart.
From such modest beginnings, OCS has grown into an international group providing integrated facilities services in over 50 countries.
Legion Group a division of OCS Group has a long and distinguished history dating back to 1921, when the British Legion was formed to help the many disabled and jobless veterans from World War I. Local British Legion branches offering parking services to small car parks began to take root around the country, and in 1928 these local charities were brought together and incorporated into The Royal British Legion Attendants Company Trust (RBLACT).
Over the years, the organisation expanded its operations to include the provision of security and CCTV monitoring services, and Legion became established as one of the UK’s most respected providers of parking and security management services to the public and private sectors.
The combination of security and parking services makes Legion Group unique in the marketplace, and remaining true to its heritage, the Group maintains a strong association with the armed forces.
In August 2010 Legion Group were acquired by international facilities services provider OCS Group, a private limited company who mirror many of the Legion Group values and share a similar culture and ethos.
