Marketing Communications Manager
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 Full time
Reporting to the Commercial Director
WAMITAB seeks an experienced Marketing Communications Manager (MCM) to work in the field of regulated qualifications and development. The role will support the development and delivery of the organisation’s marketing plan across all areas to ensure coherent messaging and the presentation of a positive image of the business into the marketplace. The MCM will ensure the implementation of creative multi-channel communications campaigns to drive customer engagement, generating new business opportunities and maintaining a high profile and reputation across the sectors we serve.
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Accountable for: Materials design and development; PR and Communication; trade press articles; campaign design and delivery; attendance at trade shows; website content and design and social media activity.
This is a hands-on role working with the Commercial Director to develop and implement a comprehensive creative marketing and communications plan, maximising the use of digital technology. The MCM will lead on all aspects of marketing communications activity ensuring a strong online and offline presence as well as monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of marketing activities through impact assessment.
The MCM will liaise and support WAMITAB’s UK network of Centres and Assessment Services to ensure the presentation of the brand and its services are in line with company standards. In addition the MCM will support the organisation’s partnership working with trade bodies and associations. The role will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a sector wide industry events directory and will also manage WAMITAB’s attendance at trade shows and organise promotional events. They MCM support the other business managers in the provision of marketing and communications services and will have responsibility for a managing a delegated budget.
Skills and Experience Required
- Business or Marketing Degree (or equivalent) and/or Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
- Experience of working in a marketing team and implementing a marketing strategy
- Coordinated production of marketing material
- Written articles, adverts and newsletters
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Strong knowledge of marketing and communications techniques and marketing channels
- Strategic marketing and PR techniques
- Commercial awareness
- Customer relationship management (CRM)
